Laptop only works at a certain angle

My laptop (a 2yr old hp laptop, not to sure on the model) has recently acquired a crack on the top right corner (as seen in the picture) and now only powers on at a certain angle. I'm pretty sure all other components are working properly, and when it does power up everything works however it is at an unviewable angle and normally powers off within seconds.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
