Laptop Playing Sound Through Both Internal Speakers and Headphones

My laptop plays the sounds both through the internal speakers and through the headphones when the headphones are plugged in. I looked online and it says to check the realtek audio manager but mine doesn't have that option in there because I downloaded the latest audio driver. How can I fix this issue? Do I have to download an older audio driver?

e.g. Asus X51R-AP134C

which driver version is it now?
the up to date version would be R2.75, downloadable at http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High%20Definition%20Audio%20Codecs

laptops not always like the newest drivers from other sites than the laptops manufacturers´
