Laptop randomly goes to sleep after my battery fried

Hello.

I have a problem with my laptop - Lenovo Y700 17ISK

Recently my battery fried and from that moment my laptop randomly goes to sleep. I didn't sense any pattern and I have no idea what could be wrong.
I would really appriciate it if you could help me.

Chances are if the battery fried, it may have taken other stuff out with it. Its impossible to know what it could be. RMA it or take it to a trusted technician.

Thank you for your reply. I am willing to take my laptop to a technician but I would like to fix the problem myself if it is possible.
