Hello.
I Purchased a laptop online. I thought it would be arriving this coming Wednesday. So I was at work all day yesterday. I have been to open the front door about 8 PM. And there it was sitting there outside my door. I tracked it, and I had been there since about 10 o’clock in the morning. It’s very cold and the outside box got wet on one side from sitting in a little bit of snow. So I brought it inside and I opened it but I didn’t turn it on because I’m afraid it may have been damaged from the cold temperature. The inside box that the laptop is in did not get wet. Do you think I should return the laptop or just see If it is working?

Let it sit inside until it warms up to room temperature. You should be able to power it up at that time without issue (and no damage).

Edit: And don't try to speed up the process by putting it next to a fireplace, inside an oven, or even with a hair dryer. Just let it warm up naturally and it will be fine.

From the factory in China, to a port in US, Canada, Europe...it is on a ship.
The shipping containers are NOT heated.

It has already survived a couple of weeks in freezing temps. Along with every other laptop and device that was on that ship.

The wet box? Was the laptop in a plastic bag inside the box?

He did not say that it came from China. He did say that it was left in snow.

Even if it was from China, ships have temperature controlled storage compartments.
Originally, it almost assuredly did come from "China".

"–40° to 65°C (–40° to 149°F) with a maximum temperature gradation of 20°C per hour. "

A Dell Inspiron, chosen at random:
"Even after exposure to temperatures from as low as -40°C/°F to up to 65°C/149°F, Inspiron keeps performing "
