Laptop shuts down mid way when playing video games

So i have been using this Laptop over a year to play video games one in particular ( Counter strike Global Offensive) and 4 weeks ago i have been having this problem where my laptop would randomly shut off. I recently got my laptop cleaned so it isnt a overheating issue and i just recently updated all my drivers.

Just because it was cleaned doesn't mean there is no temp issue. Monitor your temps and see what happens before ruling it out.

So if it is overheating how do i fix that since you saying i cleaned it wont help and what temp should it be around?

Download and install either MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor to keep an eye on CPU temps. You shouldn't be higher than 80-90C in the most intense tasks on a laptop cpu.

You can fix the laptop by keeping it on hard surfaces, keeping the vents free from obstacles, or possibly investing in a laptop cooler.
Additionally, you can crack open the laptop and re-apply the thermal paste to drop a few more degrees. But first, we need to see if heat actually is the problem.

Am I correct in assuming you only play while plugged into the wall?

It maxes around 90c, you want to be lower than that, preferably at least 80 or less.

Also please run eventviewer look for critical errors and see what it says, it generates one when the system crashes

I strongly second this. If you don't have apparent heating problems, this will be your best friend moving forward.

Oh shit didnt meant to make it solved D: but i tested it 3 times and it stays at 80-85C and i keep my laptop elevated so air can flow through it and yes it is plugged into the wall when i play ty

Ah ok thanks for that. No not yet not tried playing will do within the next 24hrs and will leave the error code if there is one here

So there are a few things that could cause this, unfortunately all of them are hardware related.

First thing you want to do is download memtest86 www.memtest86.com and boot the PC up with it to test all your ram, bad ram can cause this.

The second thing is overheating but 85c won't cause shutdowns.

The third is bad power delivery, on a desktop this is easy to fix by getting a new PSU, on a laptop not so much. But assuming memtest is good, and you're not overheating, you're not overclocking anything as well, then it must be the power supply which will require you to contact the manufacturer and use your warranty if you have one.

Checked it Ram is fine so it must be the power supply... and no i dont have a warranty to fix it so im kinda screwed. but thanks for all your help if you have any other solutions then just leave a reply.

Theres nothing you can really prevent, it just happens sometimes. I would recommend when you charge it always use a surge protector just in case, otherwise you just had some bad luck.
