I have an old laptop that shuts off randomly the fan starts making noises and then shuts off. I took it to a hardware shop they told me it is the fan I got a new fan and replaced it same issue. It is duo boot, win XP and Ubuntu. When i am in Ubuntu and it shuts off it displays a bunch of text and i cannot read it because it disappears to fast. In windows mode it doesn't show anything when it shuts off. So i was wondering is there some way i can record or extract that data that it displays when it shuts off in Ubuntu?

If the case is clean inside and you are using a good laptop cooler, the only other thing you can do is to re-seat the CPU cooler - put on new thermal paste.

when you are watching videos it seems to like have difficulty after the first minute and it plays them with lagging fps, and skips time let us say 2 min 49 seconds then it jumps to 2 min 52 seconds.

i have arctic silver 5 and it is the one i put previously but still same issue so i am goign to try to clean it off. i think i need to put a very small amount
