Laptop Shutsdown/Restarts/Freezes randomly when using the laptop keyboard

my toshiba satellite c850 is facing this problem as described above
sudden restarts/shutdowns/freezes on random timings , i had a key missing on my old keyboard so by luck i was pressing on the metal parts of the keyboards it suddenly restarts so i tried to change the keyboard it worked fine for about 5 hours and then its back to random restarts , i have ran memory tests the ram is fine also its not overheating at all , so any ideas for a quick fix other than using a usb keyboard ?

It seems to me you are describing a short. I don't see a quick fix other than your suggestion you would rather avoid or a new laptop keyboard.
