Laptop Speaker Sound

Hi, ive recently bought an ASUS tp500ln notebook. It was working perfectly fine until a few days ago i smelt a burning kinda smell. The next thing i know is the speakers were blown out. Funny thing is, i wasnt even using the speakers. Anyway, thats not my problem. My problem is, i can no longer use headphones, speakers or any other audio device through the jack. All it says is that no audio device is installed and thats it. Does any one know how to fix this ??

You might contact Asus and see if they have a replacement sound card for that model or if the can repair it under warranty. The easiest, cheapest, quickest solution may be to just purchase a USB sound card. The only downside being the audio quality usually isn't that great.
