Laptop Switching Off after processor ugrade

Hi Please assist, my laptop keeps switching off after every 30 mins it is a toshiba C850-F0055, i recently upgraded to an i3 processor from a Intell dual core. I have checked the fan it works properly checked applied enough compound, checked the drivers all up to date, im totaly confused as to what the issue could be.

Issue is probably that the new CPU is not compatible with the laptop, or you need to do a BIOS update to make it run.
