I’m looking for a Laptop that can both play and Stream (Via Twitch) League of Legends at a reasonable framerate. I know League of Legends isn’t that demanding on computer hardware, but I have no clue as to the requirements to stream on twitch. My budget is around $1000, but there is a little wiggle room. Any advice you can provide is appreciated!

Preferences: I prefer intel and Nvidia hardware running Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Maybe this?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152952&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=PPSSSCPAZZUWFU-_-34-152-952-_-Product

Thanks!

So based on this, the cpu chosen for that laptop isnt bad.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i7-6700HQ-Notebook-Processor.149420.0.html

But lets talk about graphics capabilities... This is where that laptop gets murky.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-960M-Review.137893.0.html

Qoute:

"The differences are also huge in gaming benchmarks. If you look at all the tested titles you can see that the GTX 960M is more than 60% behind the GTX 970M and more than 100% behind the GTX 980M in the Ultra-preset (1920x1080, maximum detail, anti-aliasing)."

Now since you are playing LOL, it'll be sufficient but certainly not the best. With laptops its really hard to get a budget gaming setup.

Sadly when it comes to gaming laptops, the bare minimum is 1,000. They just don't perform near as well. It would be more advisable to invest in a cheaper laptop that does school stuff, then have a desktop to stream from. Because streaming can be CPU intensive. Which it seems that it would be... okay... but you know. After 6 months? Probably not. Best to just have a laptop that can do basic school needs. Then game and stream from desktop.

Are you saying that if I could up my budget (wait a little longer) to get a 970M it might be worth it? Otherwise it wouldn't be?

Ah laptops are always very tricky. You're never going to be 100% sure, unless you spend a bunch of money, you know? You can only do the best you can with websites like the one I linked. And reviews.

Now I assume that LOL will run fine on the laptop, might have to tweak it down a good bit later on in this laptops life. I guess Im trying to stress that lets think about HOW you want to use this.

Streaming and Gaming.

Laptops are generally meant and specifically designed to be portable. If you get a huge ass expensive as laptop for gaming, then your wasting precious money that could be spent on a PC build!

So are you going to be streaming and walking around? Or gaming like... Idk... at StarBucks? When you should be hitting on that cute girl over there drinking the mocha latte? Common now bro.

Now in all seriousness, when companies make trimmed down version of graphics cards like the 970M. That M.

It's just completely different.

I purchased a "gaming" laptop for like 800 bucks. Runs like SHITE i say.

I imagine it wont be long before that laptop runs like SHITE.

I would spend maybe 300-500 bucks on the laptop, if you absolutely need it for something like school. Bank the savings, and then build yourself a 1,000-1,500 dollar desktop. Then you can forget all about the cute girl with the mocha latte, and become like me. Just staring at your awesome PC, all day. It's just fantastic trust me. Come back here and have us help you build it.
