Specific Model: np305e7a-a02us

Specs:

AMD A6-3420M @1.5ghz or Turbo @ 2.4ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6520G (Integrated)
8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
1TB HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, Kali Linux Light 64bit

Problem: Unresponsive to any type of power input via power jack. No LEDs, no noises, no moving parts no heat, nothing.

Troubleshooting: Tried changing AC adapters, tried changing batteries. Then out of curiousity disassembled laptop only to find this:

Which shouldn't be and should look like this:

Which begs the questions:

*Are the shot fuses the cause of no power being supplied to the motherboard and if so are they the only cause?

*Is it very likely that the power problem is also caused by a damaged CPU and if not, did it damage the cpu?

*I can afford a board right off the bat for replacement but I just want to know if its the only most accessible option and if its not what are the alternative accessible options that are cheaper?

*If I do go ahead and buy a board is it very likely that the cpu will not work because it was damaged with the power problem from before?

Notes: Laptop was working fine until one day it started giving power problems, when the AC adapter was plugged in the charging light would be on but would come off sometimes only to go on again when I moved the AC adapter connection a bit with my fingers(signifying a short?)

Then it got to the extreme when one day I plugged in the AC adapter and no lights or anything. Ofc the laptop ran from the battery until the battery discharged and I wasn't able to charge it back up.

I just want to know if I need a new board and if so, what are the odds that I need a new processor as well? If I need the two the investment isn't worth it as its essentially the cost of a new low tier laptop. If I just need a board(or some other part/fix) then I will make the investment knowing its secure/low risk because the other parts are still working.

Well lack of power wouldn't cause the fuses to be like that. Now overheating and also liquid (which could cause a short) could cause them to look like that though. Or the fuses just could have decided they were done. :)

Looking at the image of your board, I would really suggest replacing the whole thing. I can't say you 'have to' but if those and the surrounding areas are any indication, the whole board should really be replaced.

Ah, so the board itself most certainly needs replacing? How am I to be certain the processor isn't shot as well? For what its worth the only problem I received with this laptop before it stopped taking power was the "power cuts" from the ac adapter that resumed when I slightly rocked/adjusted the adapter connection with my fingers.

Also @webworkings
Now overheating

^ this is what took place around the area where the power jack is located. So its a new board needed and nothing else then? I really dont want to go ahead and buy a board only to realise later that the processor or something else died because of the irregular power supply/loss of power idk.

Also, I sourced a board: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/laptop-motherboard-for-samsung-series-3-NP305E5A-BA92-09506B-BA41-01843A-amd-a-series-cpu-ddr3/1436205690.html?spm=2114.30010308.3.1.hfJLal&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10056_10065_10068_10055_10054_10069_10059_10078_10079_10073_10017_10080_10070_10082_10081_10060_10061_10052_10062_10053_10050_10051,searchweb201603_6&btsid=566c3d50-ce11-41cb-81fa-ae9f906d9028

I dont know if I can get it anywhere else for a cheaper price from a reputable seller.

The Part number is BA92-09506B same as the one on my current board, even though my laptop is a np305e7a model and the seller says its for a np305e5a model, maybe the 7 = 17.3 inch and the 5 = 15.6 inch? Idk.
