Laptop Windows 7

How can i connect my windows 7 to my Samsung smart hub tv. I have tried HDMI it did not work PLEASE HELP!!!

Normally you connect the laptop to the tv with an hdmi cable, pay attention to which port you plug it into and make sure its an Input port. (see your owners manual)
turn on the laptop,
switch the tv to the input port from step 1
if its not showing up as available press the special function key on your laptop that cycles thru the display options (normally its: Internal only, Both, External Only, and then repeats)
