Laptop with two bays. Does it matter which I use for HDD?

I have a laptop with no HDD. The laptop has TWO empty HDD bays. Does it matter which I use?

use b because it is directly on the mob and you will get the best performance.

Agree us "B", "A" looks to be some sort of caddy to connect to what would be the optical drive bay and would be slower.
