Hey everyone,

I really really need help with this and any advice would truly mean a lot. Last night I had a bad bios update which caused the laptop to freeze and stay on until finally dying out. I've done every tip and trick and am left wondering if the motherboard is damaged or the bios chip needs replacing. However, I want to be really sure before going to a shop. Should I try to replace the bios chip or buy a new motherboard all together? Thank you!

if your laptop comes with two internal storages like an ssd and an hdd , then it's your boot priorities in your bios settings , you gotta put the one with windows in a higher priority , you don't need to replace your motherboard's chipset , this question has probably been asked about a million times on this forum ,

Thank you for responding! Yeah, my laptop has two ssd and a hdd. What exactly should I do? The laptop will not charge or turn on at all. It's completely bricked. I can't get into any bios settings.

sorry to hear that , if it doesn't turn on at all then something might have happened when you were updating your bios , i thought you were given a blank screen after the boot , like the other dude

No, which is why I'm confused on what to do next. I've read how people had that blank screen but mine has nothing. Completely dead. Do you think this might be an issue with the bios chip or the motherboard?
