Laptop won't charge while playing games and lags

I have had my laptop for 4 years and I was able to play games on it fine while charging. Recently, when I play games (specifically League of Legends), my laptop stopped charging and I would get random lag/fps spikes. The original charger outputs 19 V and 4.74 amp so I bought a universal laptop charger with the same output to determine if it was the adapter itself. The new adapter I bought experienced the same problem. I also tried to take out the battery out leaving only the adapter in but the computer would randomly turn off if I started to play games. Any clue what might be the problem? I have 2 batteries as well and they both experience this.

The battery is already fully charged. Once I start playing games, it stops charging it and starts to decrease the battery charge.

can be bad choice with power settings when u plunging charger. do nothing or something like that.

Nope, my power settings are at high performance. Regardless, I don't think power settings would make my charger stop charging. It charges fine when I am using it in the desktop mode but once I start gaming, it stops charging.

I have the exact same problem, however I am experiencing this on a new laptop (the y510p SLI GT755m5), I've only owned the laptop for less than a month.. I know this thread is dead, but I'm just hoping for an answer.

Hey I have the exact same setup as you! and I can't figure anything out..did you find a solution?
