Laptop wont turn on without battery or AC Power

Hi there, I have a problem with Samsung np300e5z. He can't be turn on with AC only or battery. To be started must used both.

If use only AC power there blink for 1 second blue light and I hear cd/dvd boot and done.

When I use only battery there happen nothing.

no in Windows is 100% remaining, but can't get out ac cable because will turn off.

second battery I no have.

This problem is mindblowing. I try with hard reset 10, 20 and 30 sec but I don't know if support hard reset this model.

did you take the battery out & disconnected the power adapter before doing the hard reset?

If it does not turn on without the battery while on wall power, it is likely it's a bad motherboard.

Can't find from where can download new bios.

btw Diode of charge is not work others work fine. When I open laptop I saw something wrong there, something like little burn thing. I don't think so diode can broke whole system for charge.

if the diode is burned it will not allow the flow of electricity to some marts of the system, for security reasons this is done this way

it might be a fuse, not a diode

anyway, sounds like you need a new board, or a new laptop, this laptop is old and the replacement part surely costs more than the laptop if it can be found

i would take out the hard disk, put it in a external drive case and proceed with a new laptop, is a better investment at this moment

hellow12, can you post a closeup picture of that burnt component to see what it is & if there is a "F" or "D" printed next to that component? component depending on what it is would cost maybe a couple of dollars in not less then a dollar.

When I start Laptop with AC cable and battery is needed little more time to keep button from the usua. Or just Samsung work this way

motherboard is the problem 99%.
