Laptops for gaming around $1000

Any of you guys know some good laptops (no desktops) for gaming, thats around $1000. I don't game much on graphic-crazy games like SkyRim, but I do game.

I would prefer HP for a brand, but anything works.
I would also prefer something thats not too heavy and bulky

I am personally looking into the Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 15" laptop. I don't game too hardcore on PC, I mostly play League of Legends and StarCraft II. It's amazing for the price.

I'd look at Lenovo Y510p it has dual 750's in SLI 12GB of RAM a 1TB HDD full 1080p 15.6 inch screen and is $1200 in Canada so if you're in the US I'd say it would probably be within your $1000 budget. if not you can get one with 8GB of RAM but virtually everything else is the same and save yourself $100

Oh wow, you just made me look like an idiot! lol, that model of the Lenovo Y-series laptop is basically the same thing as the Y500, but it's actually available on Lenovo's website. It also has more options and is a little bit cheaper than I remember. I guess this wasn't out when I looked at the Y500 last or something.

wait, then what games do you play? Skyrim is not that heavy for current GPUs, maybe we can save you some money

Nothing that crazy, I don't need anything for hardcore gaming

The problem is that the most cost effective laptops are around $800-$1000 which is, as I understand, a waste of money for you.

Now, you have two options:

1. Get a cheaper laptop, like the HP 15z (8750M, 1080p)

2. Get some nice laptop like the Y500 or better yet - the Y510p and sell the second GPU. That way you'll get a better battery performance too. You can sell the second GPU for around $150-$200 I think

Do you think you want to do such a thing?
