Laptops with click pads

hello I have a question why is it that alien ware seems to be the only ones manufacturing the click pads forgive me if that's not the right word, what I mean is those two panels on the touch pad that are raised I'm sorry if I'm not being clear these days all I see is the flat mac ones, I love laptops with these so why have they stopped making em?

Do you mean on gaming laptops or all laptops, because there are a bunch of laptops from Asus (the first and only company I bothered to check so i'm sure there are others) that use click pads, but with gaming a click pad is harder to control In my opinion. Having a separate tactile button is easier to press and it also doesn't mess up the game by accidentally using multi-touch features. Playing Dragon Age with a click pad is incredibly annoying.

I imagine that click pads cost more so you won't see them so much in budget laptops. If you look at the XPS line-up they've got click pads. They've also got them in the new Inspirons

that's the odd thing though the XPS's don't only there Alienwares, pads I'm miswording it , touch pads maybe?

They are in the other line-ups, they just have a small line painted on them.

you right they only have a painted line on them I wonder what the reasoning could be I rember when nearly every laptop had the raised clickpads/touch pads
