i recently connected my pc to my panasonic viera lcd television set(32",720p capable) through the analogue[VGA] connector.
i watched some hd trailers on this setup and they worked and looked quite good.
but the lcd tv doesn't support resolutions of above 1024*768 when in the 'pc mode'.
1. so was i actually watching videos in 720p HD or did they just look better due to larger/better screen(my monitor is a standard 17" CRT).
2.if i were to connect the pc and the tv through dvi-hdmi cable, could it help me select higher resolutions? [ Currently the monitor is running at 1024*768; when i try higher resolutions through the tv setup or through nvidia control panel, the screen blacks out.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
