Hello,

I am trying to replace my laptop led screen with a brand new one HB140WX1-100 (the old one is cracked), but when i turn it on it doesn't show any image (not even the bios logo) but the backlight is functioning properly. When i turn the laptop on with the new led screen, the backlight turn on, the backlight flashes off and back on just like when the screen complete the bios post test and booting into windows. And there's no inverter because it's a led screen, not a lcd screen if i'm not mistaken

Methods that i already tried:
1. Replacing the new led screen with another led of mine (from another laptop), and it worked! So i conclude the main problem is from the new led screen (am i correct?)
2. Connecting to external video output with the cracked led screen, and it outputs on the external monitor
3. Removing all power source and holding power button
4. Reseated the ram

Any tips on how to make the new led work? Any help is REALLY appreciated

Sorry for bad english, i'm from indonesia

Yeah but the problem is I bought it from some kind of a thrift store, therefore returning it is not an option :(
I'm looking for a solution so i can make this particular LED to work without buying a whole other LED

But really thanks for responding :D
