Led Strip to speakers

So I bought 12 ft of RBG led strip and i want to connect them to 6 separate speakers to go along with my music... I don't want them to all flash at the same time, because I have surround sound.

Please help!

Are these strips designed to be connected to a speaker, or they have standalone controller?
In the first case - just separate the strip on five pieces.
In the second case - check DIY sites like this one about how to build a music controller yourselves.

thank you, I am currently talking to an ebay seller to see if there is a way to use one music controller to manipulate different led strands.

Since you want different strips to respond to different audio channels you would need a controller with sufficient channels to run each strip separately.
