Left Laptop to sleep overnight won't turn on in the morning!

Hello,

So my mum left her laptop to sleep overnight. This morning she tried waking it up but it didn't wake up and the power cord was also out of the plug. So she plugged it in and turned t off and on again however that didn't seem to work. I am also at a loss and have tried researching the topic. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Try unplugging the powercord and removing the battery. After doing this press the on-button a few times, afterwards just insert battery and powercord again and it should work.

Haha great!

Some tech guy once told me this and said it had to do with excessive power building up in the screen or something but i don't know exactly
