i bought the y50 with nvidia 960m gpu addition and i noticed that the battery going down fast ,how long does the battery last and is it normal for a gaming laptop to be with a really weak battery?

Yeah its fairly normal for a laptop with discrete graphics to consume the battery quickly. When you say fast, my question is how fast?
There are settings you can change so that when you're not gaming it will consume less power by changing the windows power settings.
I assume you are using Windows.

it's a new laptop that i only had the time to install the first apps and i didnt get to use it for intense work and it is on low brightness but on balanced battery settings and it looks like the battery going really fast , i guess 2-3 minutes for 1% but for some reason it looks like it discharging really fast

I'd go ahead and let it discharge to 30% and time how long that takes. If you feel its abnormally fast I'd contact customer service and ask them about it, perhaps you have a defective unit?
