Hey all. I have a Thinkpad P51. Recently I have been facing this issue when I connect my laptop with an external monitor it freezes and my mouse pointer disappear. I have to force shutdown by holding the power button. It doesnt matter how I connect it: via displayport, hdmi or thunderbolt it always freezes.
My drivers are updated. Also updated the bios just to be sure. Ive run all diagnostic tests and it comes up clear. However, I just tried switching from Hybrid Graphics to Discrete from bios and it works flawlessly. The external monitor works through Nvidia in any case. This never happened before until a few days ago.

16GB RAM

What seems to be issue? Ive gone through different posts here but no answers. Please any help would be great.
