Can anybody help me in choosing between
Thinkpad L440 and Ideapad yoga 11s.
Though thinkpads are generally well built some users say that the entry level L440 is not upto the mark of a Thinkpad. Many ideapad yoga 11s users on the other hand claim their machines to be well built. I also feel it to be a bit more futuristic for the same price range.
I need a sturdy, durable , well built laptop for college(CS major).
Should I stick with the entry level L440 or go for an ideapad yoga 11s.
My highest concerns are build quality, durability, less flex and battery life.
My budget is less than $800.

The Yoga 11s is quite well built and should be durable for college. The performance is good and the battery life is good. You can buy it refurbished for $400-500. Make sure you get one with the 4th generation Haswell processor (i5-4210Y) as that processor is much better on battery than the previous model.

The 11s does not have discrete mouse buttons, but you can potentially add them: http://jadware.com/button-hacking-the-lenovo-yoga/
