Lenovo thinkpad x201 or a hp probook 4430s

I'm looking at buying a used laptop. Going back and forth between a Lenovo thinkpad x201 with an ssd or a hp probook 4430s.

What is a fair price for each. And why Lenovo?

Depends on where you are and whats available, I'd say maybe $150, they have a number of the Lenovos on ebay ranging from about $100 on up to over $200. Haven't been happy with the lifespan of HPs for a few years now, batteries tend to go fast and quality has slipped a lot
