Lenovo Y50-70 UHD Black Screen

Hey all,

I bought my Y50-70 a few days ago because I needed a new toy for college. Unfortunately I was greeted with a insanely slow hard drive. Last night I replaced the hard drive, I turned the laptop on and the screen was black, as in the display had no output whatsoever however the hard drive LED was working. I then put the old hard drive back in and checked all of the connectors and got the same black screen when I turned it on.

I really need to fix this asap!

The fix: Call Lenovo, they will fix it for free.
You can try connecting your laptop to an external monitor and change the output to the external display just to confirm your not having a video card or other computer issue. Bottom line is that if it IS an issue with your laptop screen they will fix, no charge.

Alternatively, if you just got it then I'd say you'd also still (likely) be able to exchange it at the store you bought it.

I just called Lenovo, I was told since I had opened it up that it was most likely my fault as the hardware was not faulty until after I opened it. I connected to a monitor and it does work. Id like to fix it without sending it in.
