[citation][nom]amabhy[/nom]Ok so a guy lost a phone and now prolly his job.So you're going to kick him when he's down on national television? Just because he lost a phone? Don't tell me you havent ever misplaced or lost a phone or iPod before. It happens to everyone. Humor only goes so far.[/citation]
Losing personal property and losing secret company owned prototypes are NOT the same at all. Making sure he kept that phone was part of his job, he did something stupid and I would make fun of him too. Just cause it's a phone doesn't mean it wasn't a stupid thing to have happen, you should be very attentive of where company property, specially a not yet released prototype device, is at all times, since ti could cost you your job.

damn that really does suck. Honest mistake I'm sure. And letterman tops it off. hope this guy doesn't off himself.

Can I say that apple set the guy up? I mean- who their right mind would consider taking a prototype anything into the public that's supposedly highly classified. First if all, what the are the odds that he would make I out of apple with something as heavily guarded as such. Second, the story itself is very questionable. And finally, David letterman is a douche who publicly got caught cheating on his wife; who is he to make fun of anyone? Sounds more like a marketing ploy to me. I'm sure the guy was going to retire anyways so apple cut him a deal. That's my 2 cents
