@back_by_demand:
I am not assuming, court ruling decided LG infringed on AUO patented technologies. When AUO seeks injunction so LG cannot sell and make profit of pirated IP, that's only fair. Furthermore, AUO should also seek to retrieve damages to their previous revenue lost to recoup their R&D expenses. 25% of stolen market share (current LG share of global LCD market) is one hefty check for pay back! Justice for good guys after all.

[citation][nom]Kelavarus[/nom]Why did it take 77 pages to say "AUO won, LG lost"? I mean, basically wouldn't it just cover the patents being examined and why the verdict was determined as such? I can't imagine that taking 77 pages. Dunno. Legalese, I guess.[/citation]

That's: Cover page, 75 pages listing the involved lawyers, then on the final page the verdict AUO won, LG lost.

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]...Hey, I have a really good idea, if there is a patent lawsuit raised between an American and a German company, but both have an office somewhere in South Korea, how about running a massive and hugely wasteful lawsuit in that country. Sound stupid? It's exactly the same in reverse.[/citation]

Maybe it is consider wasteful to fight such patent infringement battle in South Korea. But in this country, we respect Intellectual Properties. However trivial you may think a justice system ruling is... this is the law of the Land, LG will just need to follow accordingly.
