I was curious if the LG G3 actually has a 4k screen or if it's just clever marketing. I read on their website that the resolution is actually 2560x1440. 4K resolution is actually 3840x2160, correct? I didn't know if they put two smaller size screens that were 2560x1440 and that made it appear to be 4k. Just guessing here, can anyone help me out?

Oh okay. I can't remember correctly but I think LG advertised the G3 as being Quad HD, which is true, but for recording only I guess. I was kind of in disbelief when I heard that there was going to be a phone with a 4k screen because I know how demanding it is to run games on a pc at 4k resolution. That's why I looked into it online.

Obviously running pc games at 4k resolution is different than running an internet browser on a phone but there's some mobile games that would be tough to run at 4k.

Wrong, the G3 is not advertised as 4k,it's advertised as QuadHD,HD is 720p meaning the G3 is 4x720,LG isn't lying o anyone, people just don't k ow the difference between HD and FULLHD
