Light Gaming Laptop for under 800$

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a laptop mostly to play light steam games when away from home, such as Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, Terraria and the likes. The only "heavier" game I would play on it is Diablo 3. Medium-low setting would be fine for D3 as long as it's in 1080p.

I don't need a disc drive, nor touch screen, but I would need a number pad on it. 15 inch is probably ideal, but 17 is acceptable. Battery life is not important. Storage capacity is not very important (250 Gigs would be plenty). SSD would be nice, but probably too expensive.

Under 800$ canadian, the lower the better.

HP has a couple good options.

I'd recommend this one for it's better Diablo III performance but it's up to you if you're willing to the extra down for it.

This is the other one, a fair bit cheaper doesn't do as well with D3 (can upgrade to geforce 840m in the customize section but still not quite as good as the other laptop)

hello there i am not particular on any certain brand of laptop myself, but for most of the gaming you said you would be doing the intel graphics hd 4000 on the core I7 would be perect and you can find a variety of laptops under 800$ with core I7 and intel hd 4000 now if you wanna play diablo 3 you would need atleast a laptop with a dedicated graphics card and most of those start at the 800$ price range. hope this helps good luck on your search
