Live stream from DSLR camera using VGA input on PC

Hi to all,
I have a mind puzzle. I want to broadcast live stream video from my Canon 70D using my latptop.

It is much cheaper than black magic mini-converters. The big problem is that it does not have a usb port to plug it into my laptop. So I cannot really use it, unless you can link me to online stores selling "sdi to usb" cables. So, I have thought about the following alternative ways:

I am wandering if I could use the usb port to convey the sdi signal to my laptop.

I am wandering if a hdmi-vga conversion would do as much as a hdmi-sdi conversion.
I would be grateful if anyone could kindly tell me if any of the two alternatives I mentioned above would make the live stream work or help me to find other inexpensive solutions.

The HDMI-VGA converter won't work. The vast majority of PCs do not have a VGA input. Those ports on motherboards and video cards are output only. Those will not work.

The first device won't work either. It is SDI output from a HDMI input. I don't think the Ligawo device will work either.

I know that it is possible to turn a DSLR camera into a webcam using softwares like this one: http/sparkosoft.com/sparkocam
Do you know if there is anyway to add audio to the webcam channel to create a kind of live stream?

Have you considered just connecting an external mic to the PC?

Yes. But I was wandering if the audio would work while live streaming the webcam video on youtube or other providers. I think I will just need to try it out. Thanks again !!!

1) Your streams are less than 15min long
2) You don't mind destroying your camera after a few months of use

Photo cameras were never meant to run continuously, and you WILL cause irreversible damage with extended video use. If you need to have it in use for extended time, you need something meant for video. There are plenty of cheap camcorders that have live-stream capabilities.

True, there are certainly other options. But, DSLRs are being used to shoot feature films, so I don't think there is much to worry about in regard to extended use. DSLRs are arguably video devices that also take pictures. Just placing it on the table for consideration.

Indeed SLRs are used in films, but only as disposable B cameras. And more than that, films NEVER have long scenes, even ones like Birdman. Usually a film scene is <5min, more than short enough to avoid too much heat.
