where can i get a copy of the mother board design

From Toshiba, probably.
Or you could run CPU-z and get the mainboard info. That could help you locate the actual manufacturer of the Toshiba motherboard (it won't be Toshiba) plus the specific model/version.

I have no idea where, or even IF, Toshiba A305 has motherboard jumpers.

every one i asked said to just take the clock battery out
