Question Logitech Z-5500 Sound Problems

Hi there,

I started having problems with these speakers about a couple of months ago.

Periodically, the sound will cut or be severely distorted. In the latter case you can barely hear anything. It seems to occur after a minute or two after power-cycling the speaker system. Sound will be perfect for a couple of minutes and then cutout.

I switched from analog cables to a optical cable to see if that was a problem. Didn't help.

Help appreciated. Right now I'm stuck using the crappy speakers that are built into my monitor.

Windows 10
Intel Core I7
Realtek onboard audio card

what is the model number under one of the speakers? Did you try to use a usb fan behind the control unit to see if that fixes it? for me it fixes it
