Looking for a free program for batch video downgrading.

Hello. I have a big folder (>200gb) with many subfolders that contain videos whose content is of some interest to me, but the quality is not essential. Some of them have a low resolution (and take up little space), but others are HD and inefficiently compressed, taking up huge amounts of space.

Converting from HD to 720 could reduce their size greatly without losing too much quality.

What I'm looking for is a software that can recursively read the characteristics of all the videos in the directory and show me the list to select the ones in HD and recode/downgrade them.

Is there anything like that?

Thanks.

Thank you. Unfortunately they won't scan the whole library and show me those that are 1080 or badly compressed, for instance, to process.
Still, I can search for the bigger ones by hand and get them through Handbrake and just by doing that to the few biggest ones I may save hundreds of Gb.

You can try loading them in Xmedia Recode, click on the video bar to sort them in terms of video attributes, and then select those to be converted.
