As I am contemplating a headset with mic. Problem is I have real bad tinnitus ( constant soft static sound 24/7) Anything I cover my ears with makes the tinnitus worse, and I need to not disturb others with the volume when I play games.

If anyone has any potential solutions or suggestions it would be appreciated.

Hard to compare the severity over the Internet. For me, I generally only hear it if I'm actually thinking about it. If I'm, say, reading a book and it's quiet around me, I probably don't notice it until I think about it. If I'm watching TV at regular volume, I probably don't notice it until I think about it. For me, it's always there, but unnoticed if my mind is otherwise engaged (i.e. playing a game with the headset on).

Sorry I can't be more help.

I have tried a couple cheap ones that were provided with my kids consoles, made things worse. Not really sure a whole lot can be done in my case.

No worries I appreciate your suggestion. I always hear mine in some fashion, lot of background noise or focused on something not as bad. I cover my ears with anything it just gets louder, even if their is music playing. Drives me nuts lol.
