"The performance of the R7-M360 is slightly above the slower clocked Radeon R7 M260 (64-bit model) and silimar to a GeForce 920M."

Unfortunately that would be the deal breaker for me. The AMD may have a better screen (since it's IPS but again I've not seen it) and yes it's higher resolution.

On the other hand, the model I linked has a better CPU and GPU, but I don't know how close these GPU's are in reality as it's hard to find accurate benchmarks.

CS GO isn't super demanding though, here's a video on 920M (apparently can get highest at 120FPS+ ? but I can't confirm):

(update: comments suggest his 120FPS+ is bogus or more likely it was at 1366x768, but regardless you probably have a better idea know and can look for other videos/benchmarks)

I can't find anything to directly compare.

For example:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-17-3-laptop-silver-intel-core-i5-6200u-6th-gen-2tb-hdd-12gb-ram-windows-10-17-g178ca/10393606.aspx?path=88e1014e1ec9a1be779ebd011309bff7en02

a) non-IPS (AMD was, but I don't know how they actually compare)
b) 1600x900 (AMD was 1920x1080)
c) Intel CPU is better (it may be "only" dual-core but it's faster per core, runs at a higher frequency as well, and also supports hyperthreading)
d) GPU?
The NVidia has a 940M, and AMD has an R7-M360. I'll see if I can find more info.

Summary:
Wow, tough comparison.
I'd really want to see (and hear) them under normal lighting and noise. Not possible.

My gut reaction is to go with the NVidia + Intel setup without further information.

That laptop is only ok at gaming. The r7 360m is fairly slow. A 940m would blow it out of the water. Same goes for the cpu. For about the same price, you can get something with a gtx 950m and i5/i7. If you want to go cheaper, the 520$ acer comes with a nice i5 and 940m. It is by far the best bang for your buck laptop out there. Check out new egg. Aim for a gtx 950 or higher if you want to spend more.
