So i want to ask for a laptop top for christmas. I want a laptop with bluetooth, wireless n, a nice keyboard (i kinda like the "mac" style keyboard), webcam, a good sized screen etc.

The budget it around $600 because thats how much my sisters laptop costed.

I want to surf the web, watch netflix, and maybe even do a little gamming. I already have a desktop that i can game with. So its not my main computer. I play gta iv on my desktop and a little crysis and COD. I Also want it to be pretty portable.

Can you guys help me out on what to look for such as a company or computer.

ive looked at the asus 1215t and Toshiba l655. I also might use it with a 3g hotspot too

Thanks guys!

For sub $600 you are a bit limited, but you can still get something nice if you don't need a powerhouse. That style of keyboard is hard to find in that range. I would recommend a dedicated graphics card in lieu of intel HD graphics if you are going to watch movies (especially HD). My wife's laptop (2 year old sony vaio) has a hard time playing 720p and 1080p with integrated graphics (picture falls behind audio).

a couple of possibilities:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834127269 - has athlon and radeon graphics (little bit outdated though).

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834127268 - black version of Sony.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115805 - $650, but newer i3 cpu and 5xxx series radeon graphics...

Im not sure if you want to get an older processor (core2 duo or athlon) they are a bit cheaper and can provide better performance in some cases than i3 and i5.

Good Luck in your search!

If you are on max 600 budget then you can buy laptop with ATI 5470, but 5650 is almost 50-60% more powerful than 5470 and price of 5650 is also not that much for >700$ you can get a gaming laptop

Come to think of it I probably wouldnt do much gaming on it because I have a gaming system at home and I'm going to be upgrading that soon. So al I really need is a laptop that's good for streaming HD video (netflix, YouTube, ect). Also that has an hdmi out, and maybe Bluetooth(?).

Thanks for your answers!
