Looking for a lightweight gaming laptop to replace current G75VW-BBK5

I own a ASUS G75VW-BBK5 (w/upgraded 16gb ram) currently. It was my main system up until I finished my desktop rig.
Was looking to trade it in and replace it with a lightweight equivalent (if one exists) Any suggestions?
I can trade this in for a pretty good amount so anything that is within $900-1200 and maybe around 5lbs ( this bbk5 weighs almost 10!!)

Well theres a big problem here, that being the words lightweight, gaming, and laptop. I dont know what games you're playing, but if it's anything more than WoW, stick to the desktop, or be prepared to shell out big money for a big heavy laptop with a real processor, excellent cooling, and a big GPU.

Understandable, the idea behind what i'm doing is to take this big heavy laptop and replace it for something lighter with as little downgrade as possible.

Either of those would be a decent step up from the Asus, and you could swap that RAM out and use it in the new rig.
