$700 to $1k
could go over $1k if the it seems like The One
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
a big screen is nice, but its not the most import feature to me at all
I'd say at least 13" but anything about 16" is just excessive - no real preference beyond that
3. What screen resolution do you want?
1920x1080
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I intend for this laptop to replace both my current laptop and desktop for a couple years, though I would still like it to be pretty portable
Ideally, it should be something I feel comfortable carrying to and from class/lab/work/etc in a backpack - so nothing excessively bulky or heavy
5lb is probably the upper limit of weight
5. How much battery life do you need?
I dunno at least 4 hours I guess? I don't plan on writing a novel on the beach or anything, I'm usually near a wall outlet, and honestly I usually use my current laptop plugged in
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I play a lot of LoL and Dota and CS:GO. Plan on getting Fallout 4 and Dark Souls III as soon as they're out, and would like to get around to playing The Witcher 3 finally.
would really like to play these games with graphics set as High as possible

beyond games, mostly just browse the internet and write code
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
current laptop just has a 256GB SSD and its been feeling a little small lately
512GB would be better
I tend not to hoard games or movies, so I don't really need anything excessive

it seems to more or less meet my requirements, though I am wary to buy anything that has integrated graphics since I play a lot of games (and as a much smaller complaint I would like a larger SSD) - what are your thoughts on it?
