So, I'm looking for a headset.
This headset needs to be:
-comfortable
-7.1 surround sound
-not ridiculously expensive

Want it to be:
-wired
-have dial adjustments, to change things like mic volume, and game volume

Would be nice if:
-had a mic, but I probably plan on buying a blue snowball anyway, so it's not too big of a deal

I've tried the turtle beach px22's before, and absolutely loved them. It basically fits the description above, except the only problem is the no surround sound. They broke, and I basically bought a wireless version of it. It sucked and broke within the first month. Looking for any advice on any good headsets that match the specs above, anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Solution
Gaming Headsets are seriously overpriced you are much better buying a blue snowball like you said and then buying a pair of headphones. Ive just done hours of research myself and I chose these:
Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro-£100
Great all rounders for music gaming and movies, work really well with competitive gaming too(csgo)

Best headphones for competitive gaming but lack bass incredible for hearing footsteps
-AKG K612PRO £95
-AKG K702 £130
-Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X £160
There all very similar

If you want a cheaper pair of headphones these are great:
-Superlux HD668B £35 (Best Value)
-Takstar HI 2050 -£40 (Hyper X Cloud without mic)

This guy's reviews are amazing they helped me out a lot...

Really anything under like $150, I don't expect a lot from that price range but I was hoping that maybe I could find a really good quality needle in a haystack, thanks.

For that price range, avoid "7.1" headsets because:
1) "7.1" doesn't exist, ALL headphones are by nature two independent channels even if they have multiple drivers
2) Gaming headphones are nowhere near as good a real headphones.

If you want good quality, HD518 or ATH-AD500X are always recommended (sockie has a few more good choices)
