Looking for College laptop

I'm going to be a freshman in college and i'm majoring in Information Technology. My budget for laptop is about $700. Needs to be able to do all the basic things such as the following: Games (League of Legends), Papers, Music, Movies (Netflix), Programming, etc. I've been searching and it seems like an i5 with 6GB RAM would be my best choice. First of all you need to play a real game, like DotA 2

I would contact your school to see if your dept. has any deal with Dell etc., that you can take advantage of. I can get 20-30% off of Dell laptops as a student at my university.

Other than that, I would say go for a budget Dell.

Haha never heard of Dota2 but i'll definitely look into it. Yes, I believe my school gets a discount with Dell and other companies.

I would check out what deals they offer then before I recommend something. You can probably get a pretty nice deal.

DotA (originally a warcraft map) created the genre that League of Legends copied DotA 2 is a standalone game that was released by the original devs. Much better than LoL in my opinion (I played LoL before DotA 2)
