Hi,

so I've had this laptop of mine for about a year (Acer Aspire E1-571). I'm a newbie at all this CPU stuff, so I'll just give you all the specs I think are relevant.

  • Intel core i7-3632QM 2.2GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000, upto 1760 Dynamic Video Memory
    6 GB DDR3 Memory
    500 GB HDD
    Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n

Now I don't know what is relevant above, but my problem is, I've been getting a lot of lag recently in all the games I play, browser or download. This has been happening for about 2 months or so, but before that my laptop used to work just fine, and I had 60 fps in most games. Now I have random lag spikes even when I've just started my laptop and launched a game. I don't have a single idea what to do so please give me a solution ASAP.

Hello

I have a few things that you can try that may solve your problem but I'm not promising anything.

* Firstly scan your PC with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

1. Install CCleaner And Run the Cleaner tool AND Registry cleaner until no registry errors are found:
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

2. Delete All Restore Points and Create 1 Manual One. This can bring back used disk space.

3. Use Windows's Disk Clean Up Tool. You can do this by:
Click the windows key and s, then type "Disk Clean Up" and select this one:

4. Use "sfc/scannow tool in CMD.
Click the windows key and s, then...
