Looking for the best performing lowest priced laptop to play sims 4 and it's add on.I've read through some other forums and it sounds like desktops are cheaper and give better gaming experience and laptops are more expensive and don't offer great quality as the desktops. However I'd also need it to perform good for writing college papers. Any laptop recommendations?

Hi,

Yes you are right when you say it's better to get a desktop PC rather than a laptop but if you're a person who do work outside your house that means you'll need a laptop. Here are some suggestions for a laptop that may suite your taste.

if you're planning on building a desktop PC for under $600, here's a video guide from my favorite LinusTechTips channel. :)

The cheapest laptop with good performance to play games is the following Acer Aspire E E5-573G-52G3 for $499 which comes with a Core i5-5200u and nVidia 940m.

The Radeon R7 360 that is in the Lenovo Z51 which is linked above is less powerful than the 940m. It's performance falls somewhere in between the 920m and 930m. It's better than the Intel HD 5500 graphics core, but not even close to the performance of the nVidia 940m.
