Losing free Memory or HD

Dear Folks> can anyone help with this? i have a Toshiba laptop running legitinate VISTA , and it has 136 GB HD .i have been losing free memory at an alarming rate .. 500-800 MB per day .. so around 2 Gigs per week and soon will have no memory left on the HD ..
I have disabled AUTO .Updates, and disabled WINDEOWS DEFENDER since they were still putting on updates into the HD without my permission ... still, this eating up of my HD is continueing without end .. PLEASE help save me .. I can not find where these stupid files are being added .. I have no ANtiVirus program installed . but did have it, and it made no difference .. the 500-800 MB were disappearing anyway, every day ..
PLEase SAVE ME from wahtever is eating up my memory !!!
and where to find these files and get rid of them !!!

Hi,

Chances are your HDD is being used as the backup drive of your backup software or Windows might had been set to do automatic backup but in your own HDD or there are some virus/malwares that's causing it as well. Here are few troubleshooting steps you can do.
- Start by checking if Windows has an automatic backup that is set and make sure you disable it.

- Next is to run a virus/malware clean up.

Also check if you have other backup software that is set to do automatic backup in your own HDD. Make sure to disable them all or better yet just uninstall them if you're not going to use them.
