Lots of features or high quality?

I have been looking into purchasing a 4k TV and I thought I had my heart set on the Vizio P55-C1, once I became aware of Vizio's spotty track record on TV's just up and failing I became a little less confident. I guess my question comes down to should I stick with the Vizio and have HDR the tablet and all the features one would find on a premium TV or do I go with a Sony or Samsung Tv and sacrifice the possibility on getting an HDR TV?

If someone knows of a trust worthy TV that is 4k and has HDR (Preferably HDR10) PLEASE SHARE IT! Any suggestions on good TV's will be greatly appreciated.

Consumer Reports has very bad ratings for pretty much all TV manufacturers (Probably due to positive reviews not being posted)

Also Rtings.com rated the Vizio very high for picture quality and performance http/www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/p-series-2016 So maybe the failed TV's are just odd balls? Or should I really not trust Vizio Tv's?

For me the lack of quality upscaling is the real problem. Most of what you watch will not be 4k let along HDR so if that material has a lot of annoying artifacts it make it difficult to watch, Plus they say that the set doesn't support HDR10 yet. Also 4k in such a small set is not an big deal unless you are sitting really really close to it.
You do get something for your money in a higher priced set. Unfortunately the profit margins to TV makers is very low so support and repairs are very low priority with all of them. That's why none of them gets good marks for service.

Would you know of a better choice for a TV? I was hoping to get a 4k TV and spend the same if not around it. Also I'm not sure if you're the right person to ask but would HDR support truly make a difference?
