Low microphone volume and strange buzzing noise in background

My new NW-700 microphone's volume is extremely low even when it's turned up all the way in sound settings. I have to put the mic very close to my face for it to pick up any noise. There's also an annoying buzzing noise in the background. The mic works with my phone, though. Also, when using a usb mic there's a high pitched screeching noise in the background.

I am having the same issue with my Acer Laptop. I have the volume levels turned up on the microphone. The microphone hardly picks up my voice, and there is a buzzing sounds in the background like the one you have recorded. Any help would be appreciated.

i have the same buzzing noise with my tritton ax 180
any help would be great
