After connecting and pairing a Bluetooth transmitter to my TV, when either a programme is on or am watching DVD the sound is very low. Even if I increase the volume bar to maximum the volume through my Bluetooth headphones is just above audible. Any ideas?

Solution
What connection did you use to connect the BT transmitter. If the TV has a headphone jack that will have the highest output and will be adjustable with the TV remote.
Other TV outputs are usually fixed level so adjusting the TV volume doesn't affect the input to the bluetooth transmitter. You adjust the volume of the headphones. A line level analog audio output can be boosted

If you use the digital audio output of the TV you can't boost that.
