MacBook Pro VS Microsoft Surface Book

I am currently a college student who is in the market for a new laptop. I've had the same laptop since 8th grade and it is a struggle using it now since it is now very slow. I am stuck between a MacBook Pro and the Microsoft Surface Book. I have a iPhone and a iPad. Which one should I go for (it would be the base model not the high end crazy model. Preferably 200+ gb)

I'd suggest the macbook pro for a number of reasons:

1. You already have mac devices, it should be easy for you to use another mac.
2. The Surface Book has a tablet mode, which you don't really need with your iPad.
3. The Surface Book is overpriced for the specs you get.
