Malwarebytes asking for Admin Status

I recently purchased Malwarebytes & in set-up, it is asking for full Administrator access (ability to wipe my data, lock everything, etc). I'm hesitant to give a new app so much access. Is it safe/necessarily to do so?

I have been using Malwarebytes for ages now. It is very good at its job and has never caused any issues for me till now. But i have also never seen these "ability to wipe my data, lock everything, etc" fields as far as i can recollect. Are you interpreting these or actually seen them under the options?
If anything, it will actually help protect your data and prevent you from other threats.

Next time purchase Emsisoft Anti-Malware or Zemana Anti-Malware. Both are superior.
